Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur
Part 3 conclusion.
Hebrews:9:1: Then truly the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly mikdash.
Heb:9:2: For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the mikdash.
Heb:9:3: And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the most kodesh of all;
#Heb:9:4: Which had the golden censer, and the Ark of the Covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aharon's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
#Note: Traditional Christianity has mis-understood verse 4. Most Christians think that the golden pot that held the manna and Aharon's rod were placed inside the ark. This is not true. The manna and rod were placed BY THE ARK in the most kodesh (Exodus/Shemot 16:33, Numbers/B`midvar 17:10). There was never anything else place INSIDE the Ark but the stone tablets (1 Kings/Melekiym 8:9).
Heb:9:5: And over it the cherubiym of glory/kabod H3519/splendor shadowing the kapporeth/lid; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
Heb:9:6: Now when these things were then ordained, the kohen went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of YaHVeH.
Heb:9:7: But into the second went the high kohen alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
Heb:9:8: The Kadosh Ruach this signifying, that the way into the kodesh of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Heb:9:9: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
Heb:9:10: Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
Heb:9:11: But Mashiyach became a High Kohen of well things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb:9:12: Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His Own blood He entered in once into the most kodesh place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb:9:13: For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth/kadash H6942/purified to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb:9:14: How much more shall the blood of Mashiyach, who through the eternal Ruach offered Himself without spot to YaHVeH, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohiym?
Heb:9:15: And for this cause He is the mediator of the new covenant, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
& Heb:9:16: For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
& Heb:9:17: For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator lives.
& Heb:9:18: Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
& This needs to be understood when reading verses 16 thru 18. I have tried to understand it in its context but have come to the conclusion that either in the person giving the anaolgy made a mistake, it is a mistranslation or I just don't understand the legalese of the day. When speaking about the events with the children of Yisrael the scriptures are speaking about a contract between two parties (Yirmi'Yah 3). The first contract can only be in affect if both parties are alive. If the One who made the contract with the other party dies than that contract is nolonger binding on the other party it was made with, hence a new covenant made in Yahshua the Mashiyach's blood (Mat. 26:28).
A will and testament takes affect after the person dies. Now the argument can be made that when Yahshua died He was making a New Covenant and that was His last will and testament. The Greek word used for "testament" can also mean "covenant". Yahoshuah the Mashiyach came to confirm the "everlasting covenant" that was placed INSIDE the Ark, Not the temporal covenant that dealt with the physical, fleshy sacrificial law. Flesh and blood things are not everlasting (1 Cor. 15:50):
From G1303; properly a disposition, that is, (specifically) a contract (especially a devisory will): - covenant, testament.
* Heb:9:19: For when Mosheh had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law/torah, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
* Heb:9:20: Saying, This is the blood of the covenant which YaHVeH has enjoined to you.
* Heb:9:21: Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
+ Heb:9:22: And almost all things are by the law/torah purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Heb:9:23: It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the shamayim should be purified with these; but the shamayim things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
Heb:9:24: For Mashiyach is not entered into the most kodesh places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into shameh itself, now to appear in the presence of YaHVeH for us:
Heb:9:25: Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high kohen entered into the most kodesh place every year with blood of others;
Heb:9:26: For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world has He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
Heb:9:27: And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Heb:9:28: So Mashiyach was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin to salvation/Yeshua.
Heb:10:1: For the law/torah having a shadow of right things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Heb:10:2: For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
Heb:10:3: But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
Heb:10:4: For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
* Heb:10:5: That is why when He came into the world, He said, Sacrifice and offering YOU would not, but a Body have YOU prepared Me:
* Heb:10:6: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin YOU have had no pleasure.
* Heb:10:7: Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me,) to do YOUR will, O Elohiym.
Heb:10:8: Above when He said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin YOU would not, neither has pleasure in them; which are offered by the law/torah;
Heb:10:9: Then said He, Lo, I come to do YOUR will, O Elohiym. HE takes away the first, that HE may establish the second.
Heb:10:10: By the which will we are purified/kadash through the offering of the Body of Yahshua Mashiyach once for all.
Heb:10:11: And every kohen stands daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb:10:12: But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of YaHVeH;
Heb:10:13: From here on expecting till His enemies be made His footstool.
Heb:10:14: For by one offering He has perfected for ever them that are sanctified/kadash/purified.
Heb:10:15: Whereof the Kodesh Rauch also is a witness to us: for after that HE had said before,
Heb:10:16: This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, said YaHVeH, I will put MY laws/torah into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb:10:17: And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb:10:18: Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Heb:10:19: Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the Kodesh of kodesh by the blood of Yahshua,
Heb:10:20: By a new and living way, which He has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;
Heb:10:21: And having a High Kohen over the house of YaHVeH;
Heb:10:22: Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of belief, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Heb:10:23: Let us hold fast the profession of our belief without wavering; (for HE is trustworthy that promised;)
Heb:10:24: And let us consider one another to provoke to love and to right works:
Heb:10:25: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you all see the day approaching.
Heb:10:26: For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb:10:27: But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb:10:28: He that despised Mosheh's law/torah died without pity under two or three witnesses:
Heb:10:29: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you all, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Ben of YaHVeH, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was purified/kadash, an unkodesh thing, and has done despite to the Ruach of favor?
Heb:10:30: For we know HIM that has said, Vengeance belongs to ME, I will recompense, said YaHVeH. And again, YaHVeH shall judge HIS people.
Heb:10:31: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Elohiym.
Heb:10:32: But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you all were illuminated, you all endured a great fight of afflictions;
Heb:10:33: Partly, while you all were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, while you all became companions of them that were so used.
Heb:10:34: For you all had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your possessions, knowing in yourselves that you all have in shameh a better and an enduring substance.
Heb:10:35: Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompence of reward.
Heb:10:36: For you all have need of patience, that, after yeou all have done the will of YaHVeH, you all might receive the promise.
Heb:10:37: For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Heb:10:38: Now the just shall live by belief: but if any man draw back, my life shall have no pleasure in him.
Heb:10:39: But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the life.

Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur
Hebrews/Ibriym/Eber:7:1: For this Melchisedec, King/Melek of Salem, Kohen of the most high EL, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the melekiym, and blessed/barak/barauch/prospered him;
Heb:7:2: To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation Melek of righteousness/tesedakah, and after that also Melek of Salem, which is, Melek of shalom;
Heb:7:3: Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like to the Ben of Elohiym; abides a Kohen continually.
Heb:7:4: Now consider how great this Man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
Heb:7:5: And verily they that are of the sons/beniym of Leviy, who receive the office of the kohen-hood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law/torah, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
Heb:7:6: But He whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and prospered him that had the promises.
Heb:7:7: And without all contradiction the less is prospered of the better.
Heb:7:8: And here men that die receive tithes; but there he received them, of whom it is witnessed that He lives.
Heb:7:9: And as I may so say, Leviy also, who receives tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
Heb:7:10: For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
Heb:7:11: If therefore perfection were by the Levitical kohen-thood, (for under it the people received the law/torah,) what further need was there that another Kohen should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aharon?
Heb:7:12: For the kohen-hood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law/torah.
Heb:7:13: For He of whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
Heb:7:14: For it is evident that our Rabbi sprang out of Yahudah; of which tribe Mosheh spoke nothing concerning kohen-hood.
Heb:7:15: And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there arises another Kohen,
Heb:7:16: Who is made, not after the law/torah of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
* Heb:7:17: For HE testifies, You are a Kohen for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Heb:7:18: For there is truly a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
Heb:7:19: For the law/torah made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope/confidence did; by the which we draw close to YaHVeH.
Heb:7:20: And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made kohen:
* Heb:7:21: (For those kohen were made without an oath; but this with an oath by HIM that said to Him, YaHVeH sware and will not repent, You are a Kohen for ever after the order of Melchisedec: )
Heb:7:22: By so much was Yahshua made a surety of a better testament/covenant.
Heb:7:23: And they truly were many kohen, because they were not allowed to continue by reason of death:
Heb:7:24: But this Man, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable Kohen-hood.
Heb:7:25: That is why He is able also to save/yasha them to the uttermost that come to YaHVeH by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them.
Heb:7:26: For such a High Kohen became our, who is kadosh, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the shamayim;
Heb:7:27: Who needs not daily, as those high kohen, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this He did once, when He offered up Himself.
Heb:7:28: For the law/torah makes men high kohen which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law/torah, makes the Ben, who is consecrated for evermore.
Heb:8:1: Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such a High Kohen, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the shamayim;
Heb:8:2: A minister of the sanctuary/mikdash, and of the true tabernacle, which the Rabbi pitched, and not man.
Heb:8:3: For every High Kohen is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: that is, it is of necessity that this Man have somewhat also to offer.
Heb:8:4: For if He were on earth, He should not be a kohen, seeing that there are kohen that offer gifts according to the law/torah:
Heb:8:5: Who serve to the example and shadow of shamayim things, as Mosheh was admonished of YaHVeH when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, said HE, that you make all things according to the pattern showed to you in the mount.
Heb:8:6: But now has He obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
Heb:8:7: For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
*Heb:8:8: For finding fault with them, HE said, Observe, the days come, said YaHVeH, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Yisrael and with the house of Yahudah:
* Heb:8:9: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in MY covenant, and I regarded them not, said YaHVeH.
* Heb:8:10: For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Yisrael after those days, said YaHVeH; I will put MY Laws/Torah into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a Elohiym, and they shall be to ME a people:
* Heb:8:11: And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know YaHVeH: for all shall know ME, from the least to the greatest.
+ Heb:8:12: For I will be merciful/kindful/rachum H7349/hileos G2436 /compassionate to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb:8:13: In that HE said, A new covenant, HE has made the first old. Now that which decays and waxes old is ready to vanish away.
* Refer to Psalms 110.
* Refer to Yirmiyah/Jeremiah 31:31-34.

Day of Atonement/Yom Kippur
Updated 07/09/6988 3rd day of the week (09/03/06)
Updated 07/10/6989 1st day of the week (09/23/07)
Updated 07/10/6991 4th day of the week (09/30/09)
5) Day of Atonement = Yahshua is our atoning sacrifice (Rom. 5:11; Rev. 20:1-3; Lev. 16; 23:27-32). Yahshua totally removes our sins. This time also pictures Satan being put away for 1000 years (Read the entire letter to the Hebrews; Rev. 20:1-3).
Romans: 5:11: And not only so, but we also joy in YaHVeH through our Rabbi Yahshua Mashiyach, by whom we have now received the atonement.
You should fast on this day if you are physically able. If you are elderly or have ailments you should consult your physician before you do fast. This is a unified fast for the Body of Yahshua:
Matit'Yah-ha'Levi/Matthew: 9:15: And Yahshua said unto them, Can the children of the bride chamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
M't: 17:17: Then Yahshua answered and said, O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I allow you? Bring him here to Me.
M't: 17:18: And Yahshua rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
M't: 17:19: Then came the disciples/followers to Yahshua apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
M't: 17:20: And Yahshua said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say to you, If you all have belief as a grain of mustard seed, you all shall say to this mountain, Remove from here to over there; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.
M't: 17:21: Howbeit this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting.
Yahochanan/Yohn: 16:11: Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
Revelation: 20:1: And I saw an malak come down from shameh, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Re: 20:2: And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Re: 20:3: And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
The physical flesh and blood high priest/kohen only enters the most Kodesh once a year:
Leviticus/V'yakra:16:1: And YaHVeH spake to Mosheh after the death of the two sons/beniym of Aharon, when they offered before YaHVeH, and died;
Le:16:2: And YaHVeH said to Mosheh, Speak to Aharon your brother, that he come not at all times into the kodesh place within the veil before the mercy/kapporeth H2737/cover/lid seat, which is upon the Ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the kap-po-reth/cover.
The physical flesh and blood high koden has to offer sin sacrifice for him-self:
Leviticus/V'yakra:16:3: This shall Aharon come into the kodesh place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
Le:16:4: He shall put on the kodesh linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are kodesh garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
Le:16:5: And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Yisrael two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.
Le:16:6: And Aharon shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
The high kohen cast lots on the two goats:
Leviticus/V'yakra:16:7: And he shall take the two goats, and present them before YaHVeH at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Le:16:8: And Aharon shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for YaHVeH, and the other lot for the scapegoat/azazel H5799.
Le:16:9: And Aharon shall bring the goat upon which YaHVeH's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
Le:16:10: But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the az-a-zel, shall be presented alive before YaHVeH, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a azazel into the wilderness.
Le:16:11: And Aharon shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:
Leviticus/V'yakra:16:12: And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before YaHVeH, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:
Le:16:13: And he shall put the incense upon the fire before YaHVeH, that the cloud of the incense may cover the kapporeth/lid that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
Le:16:14: And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the kapporeth/lid eastward; and before the kapporeth/lid shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.
Le:16:15: Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the kapporeth/lid, and before the kapporeth/lid:
Le:16:16: And he shall make an atonement for the kodesh place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Yisrael, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
Le:16:17: And there shall be no man/adam in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goes in to make an atonement in the kodesh place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Yisrael.
Le:16:18: And he shall go out to the altar that is before YaHVeH, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
Le:16:19: And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow/purify/qadash/kadash H6942 it from the uncleanness of the children of Yisrael.
Le:16:20: And when he has made an end of reconciling the kodesh place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:
Le:16:21: And Aharon shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Yisrael, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man/iysh into the wilderness:
Leviticus/V'yakra 16:21 refer to Revelation 20:1-3.
Leviticus/V'yakra:16:22: And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities to a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
Le:16:23: And Aharon shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the kodesh place, and shall leave them there:
Le:16:24: And he shall wash his flesh with water in the kodesh place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.
Le:16:25: And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.
Le:16:26: And he that let go the goat for the azazel shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.
Le:16:27: And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the kodesh place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
Le:16:28: And he that burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
Le:16:29: And this shall be a statute for ever to you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you all shall afflict your bodies, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
Le:16:30: For on that day shall the kohen make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you all may be clean from all your sins before YaHVeH.
Le:16:31: It shall be a Sabbath of rest to you, and you all shall afflict your bodies, by a statute for ever.
Le:16:32: And the kohen, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the kohen office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the kodesh garments:
Le:16:33: And he shall make an atonement for the kodesh sanctuary/mikdash H4720, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation/moed H4150, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the kohen, and for all the people of the congregation.
Le:16:34: And this shall be an everlasting statute to you, to make an atonement for the children of Yisrael for all their sins once a year. And he did as YaHVeH commanded Mosheh.

Memorial of Trumpets/Zikron Teruah

Updated 06/30/6989 5th day of the week (09/13/07)
Updated 07/01/6990 5th day of the week (10/02/08)
Updated 07/01/6992 7th day of the week (09/11/10)
4) Memorial of Trumpets = Yahshua will return at the "last trump" (7th trumpet I Cor. 15:52; Rev. 10:7; Lev. 23:24-25). This signals the end of the "Great Tribulation" and the beginning of the "Wrath of the Lamb". This day marks the true birthday (born again) of the (believers) Body of Yahshua (Rev.12:4). This day marks the beginning of the process, to place the physical flesh blood (1 Cor. 15:50) remnant of the children of Yisrael back into the Promised Land by the Body of Yahshua.
V'yakra/Leviticus: 23:23: And YaHVeH spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Leviticus: 23:24: Speak to the children of Yisrael, saying, In the seventh month/chodesh, in the first day of the chodesh, shall you have a Shab-ba-thone, a memorial/zikron of blowing of trumpets/teruah, a Kodesh convocation.
Leviticus: 23:25: You shall do no servile work in it: but you shall offer an offering made by fire to YaHVeH.
From E-Sword Strong's Hebrew Concordance the word used translated for "trumpets":
From H7321; clamor, that is, acclamation of joy or a battle cry; especially clangor of trumpets, as an alarum: - alarm, blow (-ing) (of, the) (trumpets), joy, jubile, loud noise, rejoicing, shout (-ing), (high, joyful) sound (-ing).
Today what does the blast of a trumpet remind you of ? The importance of this question is to help you the Ekklesia/Moed/Congregaton (Body of Yahshua/called out ones) understand how far our thinking as gotten off track in the way Yahveh intended. When the Yisraelite heard the sound of a trumpet it really did mean something to them.
The Day of Trumpets is to be a "memorial of blowing of trumpets". What purpose does this memorial serve? What is the importance of this annual Shabbath for us today in Yahveh's Congregation?
This annual Shabbath is very important and just as significant as all the other annual Shabbaths.
Where in the scriptures do we first find the noise of a trumpet being heard? Turn to Exodus chapter 19. You can read all of Exodus 19 yourself, I will point out the most significant verses:
Shemot/Exodus: 19:13: There shall not a hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man/iysh, it shall not live: when the trumpet/yobel sounds long, they shall come up to the mount.
From E-Sword Strong's Hebrew Concordance the word for "trumpet":
Apparently from H2986; the blast of a horn (from its continuous sound); specifically the signal of the silver trumpets; hence the instrument itself and the festival thus introduced: - jubile, ram’s horn, trumpet.
Exodus: 19:16: And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mount, and the voice of the trumpet/shophar exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
From E-Sword Strong's Hebrew Concordance the word for "trumpet", this word was also used in verse 19:
From H8231 in the original sense of incising; a cornet (as giving a clear sound) or curved horn: - cornet, trumpet.
Exodus: 19:18: And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because YaHVeH descended on it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
Exodus: 19:19: And when the voice of the trumpet/shophar sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Mosheh spake, and Elohiym answered him by a Voice.
Exodus: 20:18: And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet/shophar, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
It is clear from these verses that the sounding of the trumpet was to prepare the people for hearing of the Spiritual/Ruach (Romans 7:14) Law/Torah of Yahveh. "Many" (Matthew 24:5) over look the significance of these verses and how prominent the noise of the trumpet was before the Word of Yahveh descended on Mount Sinai. Why was this recorded and written in scripture for us to see and read today? The sound of the trumpet is closely connected to the return of our King/Melek and Savior Yahshua.
What are some other occasions the children of Yisrael used the trumpet? Turn to:
V'yakra/Le: 25:9: Then shall you cause the trumpet/shophar of the yubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh chodesh, in the day of atonement shall you all make the trumpet/shophar sound throughout all your land.
B'midvar/Nu: 10:1: And YaHVeH spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Nu: 10:2: Make you two trumpets/chatsotserah of silver; of a whole piece shall you make them: that you may use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
From E-Sword Strong's Hebrew Concordance the word for "trumpet" is:
By reduplication from H2690; a trumpet (from its sundered or quavering note): - trumpet (-er).
B'midvar/Numbers: 10:3: And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to you at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation/moed.
Nu: 10:4: And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Yisrael, shall gather themselves to you.
Nu: 10:5: When you blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
Nu: 10:6: When you blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
Nu: 10:7: But when the congregation is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.
Nu: 10:8: And the beniym of Aharon, the koheniym, shall blow with the trumpets/chatsotserah; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
Nu: 10:9: And if you go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresses you, then you shall blow an alarm with the trumpets/chatsotserah; and you shall be remembered before YaHVeH your Elohiym, and you shall be saved from your enemies.
Nu: 10:10: Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months/chodesh, you shall blow with the trumpets/chatsotserah over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your shelem offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your Elohiym: I am YaHVeH your Elohiym.
B'midvar/Nu: 31:1: And YaHVeH spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Nu: 31:2: Avenge the children of Yisrael of the Midianites/Midyaniy: afterward shall you be gathered to your people.
Nu: 31:3: And Mosheh spake to the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves to the war, and let them go against the Mid-yan-iy, and avenge YaHVeH of Midyan.
Nu: 31:4: Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Yisrael, shall you send to the war.
Nu: 31:5: So there were delivered out of the thousands of Yisrael, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
Nu: 31:6: And Mosheh sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas/Piy-nech-as the ben of Elazar the kohen, to the war, with the kodesh instruments, and the trumpets/chatsotserah to blow in his hand.
Now we come to the book of "Joshua"/Yahoshuah; I believe the destroying of "Jericho"/Yericho was the representation of Yahshua destroying the kingdoms of this earth (Galaians 3:24). It was no coincidence that the leader for Yisrael who brought them into the promised landed was named Yahoshuah the same name as our Savior. This event represented the return of Yahshua to bring His "heritance" the children of Yisrael back into the Promised Land:
Yahoshuah/Joshua: 6:1: Now Yericho was tightly shut up because of the children of Yisrael: none went out, and none came in.
Jos: 6:2: And YaHVeH said to Yahshua, See, I have given into your hand Yericho, and the melek of it, and the mighty men/gibbor of valor.
Jos: 6:3: And you shall surround the city, all you men/iyshiym of war/mil-cha-mah, and go round about the city once. This shall you do six days.
Jos: 6:4: And seven koheniym shall bear before the ark seven trumpets/shophar of rams' horns: and the seventh day you shall compass the city seven times, and the koheniym shall blow with the trumpets/shophar.
Jos: 6:5: And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's/yobel horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet/shophar, all the people shall shout/rua with a great shout/teruah; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
From E-Sword Strong's Concordance notice two different words used for "shout":
A primitive root; to mar (especially by breaking); figuratively to split the ears (with sound), that is, shout (for alarm or joy): - blow an alarm, cry (alarm, aloud, out), destroy, make a joyful noise, smart, shout (for joy), sound an alarm, triumph.
Yahshua/Jos: 6:6: And Yahshua the ben of Nun called the koheniym, and said to them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven koheniym bear seven trumpets/shophar of rams'/yobel horns before the ark of YaHVeH.
Jos: 6:7: And he said to the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the YaHVeH.
Jos: 6:8: And it came to pass, when Yahshua had spoken to the people, that the seven koheniym bearing the seven trumpets/shophar of rams'/yobel horns passed on before YaHVeH, and blew with the trumpets/shophar: and the ark of the covenant of YaHVeH followed them.
Jos: 6:9: And the armed men went before the koheniym that blew with the trumpets/shophar, and the rearward came after the ark, the koheniym going on, and blowing with the trumpets/shophar.
Jos: 6:10: And Yahshua had commanded the people, saying, You all shall not shout/rua, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout/rua; then shall you all shout/rua.
Jos: 6:11: So the ark of YaHVeH compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.
Jos: 6:12: And Yahshua rose early in the morning, and the koheniym took up the ark of YaHVeH.
Jos: 6:13: And seven koheniym bearing seven trumpets/shophar of rams'/yobel horns before the ark of YaHVeH went on continually, and blew with the trumpets/shophar: and the armed men went before them; but the rearward came after the ark of YaHVeH, the koheniym going on, and blowing with the trumpets/shophar.
Jos: 6:14: And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
Jos: 6:15: And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.
Jos: 6:16: And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the koheniym blew with the trumpets/shophar, Yahshua said to the people, Shout/rua; for YaHVeH hath given you the city.
If you would like to hear the sound of a ram's horn email me and I will send it to you.
We see now the trumpet/shophar was blown (refer Psalms 81:3):
1) In the 50th year of Jubilee/Yobel. It was blown to proclaimed freedom to the servant, and the land was returned to the family it was originally given.
2) For assembling of the people. They were to be blown while the children of Yisrael made their journey to the Promised Land.
3) For battle or war.
4) For the feast days.
5) In times of gladness.
6) At the beginning of each month/chodesh.
7) Over the burnt offerings and the sacrifice of the peace/shelem offerings.
You can see from this instruction the blowing of the trumpet held a prominent role in the nation of Yisrael. Hearing the sound of the trumpet depending on the sound it made would have sparked a certain emotional response.
This comment and question is taken from THE AMBASSADOR COLLEGE BIBLE CORRESPONDENCE COURSE LESSON 28 published by the World Wide Church of God in 1986:
"Trumpets an Alarm of War"
"Since the use of the shophar or ram's horn on the Feast of Trumpets makes that feast day unique, what did the sound of the ram's horn mean to Old Testament Israel? Let's understand how the ram's horn was used, and what its piercing sound signified to those who heard it.
1. What was Jeremiah's reaction when he heard the sound of the ram's horn? Jer. 4:19-21:
Jer: 4:19: My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
Jer: 4:20: Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.
Jer: 4:21: How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?
Comment: The trumpet, or ram's horn, was used as an alarm of war. Its sound filled those who heard it with fear because they knew it signified that the horror of war was imminent! It is this warning of an imminent crisis that sets apart the Feast of Trumpets from God's (Elohiym) other Holy (Kodesh) Days. It is this warning of war that gives the joyous Feast of Trumpets its contrasting note of solemnity (seriousness)."
Sense Yahveh's Ekklesia/Congregation/Moed is a spiritual/Ruach Body (Eph. 4:4; 5:23) being formed into a temple/hekal (I Cor. 3:16-17; Eph. 2:20) made without the hand of man and we are not the physical nation of Yisrael; the three things I believe the "Day/Memorial of Trumpets" is to remind us most about now is:
1) The assembling of HIS (called out ones/Body of Yahshua) people to hear the Law/Torah.
2) A day of Battle.
3) Our literal new birth or being born again.
This is why I believe this: Let's look in the New Testament scriptures. The scripture that comes to my mind first is Revelation 11:15,19.
Remember Yohn/Yahochanan sees this when the 7th trumpet is blown:
Revelation: 11:15: And the seventh malak sounded; and there were great voices in shameh, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our EL, and of HIS Mashiyach; and HE shall reign for ever and ever.
Revelation: 11:19: And the heykal of YaHVeH was opened in shameh, and there was seen in HIS heykal the ark of HIS testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
If you will notice in verse 19 it says "…and voices…" this is what Yahochanan heard. I believe these voices to be the same sound or noise that the children of Yisrael heard before the ruach Law/Torah was given. These voices Yahochanan heard was a sound of a trumpet or trumpets. If we look up the word in E- Sword Strongs Greek Concordance the words is:
Probably akin to G5316 through the idea of disclosure; a tone (articulate, bestial or artificial); by implication an address (for any purpose), saying or language: - noise, sound, voice.
It could be a noise, sound, and voice. Now compare Revelation 11:19 with Exodus 20:18:
Exodus: 20:18: And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet/shophar, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
Notice in verse 19 of Revelation chapter 11 that "…the ark of HIS testament…" was seen. What was placed in the ark?
1Kings: 8:9: There was nothing in the ark accept the two tables of stone, which Mosheh put there at Horeb/Choreb, when YaHVeH made a covenant with the children of Yisrael, when they came out of the land of Egypt/Mitsrayim.
Also notice the thunderings and the lightnings mentioned in both Revelation 11:19 and Exodus 20:18. The "Day/Memorial of Trumpets" is to remind us of that great and terrible Day of Yahveh, when HE stretches out HIS Right Hand to punish those who refuse to hear and obey HIS Law/Torah. Who is Yahveh's Right Hand (Psalms 80:17)?
When melek David recovered the ark from the Philistines/Pelishtiym the children of Yisrael blew the trumpets:
2Samuel: 6:15: So David and all the house of Yisrael brought up the ark of YaHVeH with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet/shophar.
Remember I am referring to these verses of scriptures to remind you when the 7th malak sounds, the 7th trumpet will be blown; it is to remind us of Yahveh's Ruach Law/Torah and the establishment of that Torah here on earth by Yahshua our Savior. Mount Sinai was a representation of the day of Yahshua's return.
Now turn to Revelation 10:
Re: 10:7: But in the days of the voice of the seventh malak, when He shall begin to sound, the mystery of YaHVeH should be finished, as HE has declared to HIS servants the prophets/Nabiym.
Turn again to Revelation 11:15:
Re: 11:14: The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe comes quickly.
Re: 11:15: And the seventh malak sounded; and there were great voices in shameh, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our EL, and of HIS Mashiyach; and HE shall reign for ever and ever.
Psalms: 47:5: Elohiym is gone up with a shout/teruah, YaHVeH with the sound of a trumpet/shophar.
Yasha'Yah/Isaiah: 18:3: All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see you, when HE lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when HE blows a trumpet/shophar, hear you.
Yasha'Yah/Isa.: 27:13: And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Great Trumpet /Shophar shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship YaHVeH in the kodesh mount at Yerusalem/Yahushalam.
ZekarYah/Zechariah: 9:14: And YaHVeH shall be seen over them, and HIS arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and Rabbi YaHViH shall blow the trumpet/shophar, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
As you can see from these verses the blowing of the Trumpet is closely related to Yahveh's vengeance on those who refuse to obey HIS Ruach Law/Torah that was placed INSIDE the ark (1 Kings 8:9).
This would be an appropriate time to read the commandments in Exodus chapter 20. You can read them from your own scriptures (Exodus 20:1-18). I know some will not agree and it will continue to be debated but this is how I understand the commandments to be counted. Yahveh divides the commandments into 5 and 5, not 4 and 6. The reason HE does this is so we can count the first five commandments on our right hand. Those commandments deal with how we show love to our Elohiym, The first commandment begins in verse 2 of Exodus 20, and the 5th commandment begins in verse 8. Many people ask: "How do you get a commandment out of verse 2?":
Exodus: 20:2: I am YaHVeH your Elohiym, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
This commandment is a commandment to remember the name of our Elohiym and that HE is the one who has delivered us from sin (Egypt). Egypt is a representation of sin (Galatians 3:24). There is other scriptures that are significant to this commandment, but that will have to be for another study. For now here is one, turn to:
Psalms: 9:10: And they that know YOUR name will put their trust in YOU: for YOU, YaHVeH, have not forsaken them that seek YOU.
The second half of the commandments, the 6th commandment begins in Exodus 20:12. The 10th commandment counts verse 16 and 17 as one. This commandment is a continued explanation of how to love your neighbor.
Remember the scriptures came with no chapters and verses in them, they were added later.
We have already seen from scriptures that the "Day/Memorial of Trumpets" is to make us ready to hear the Law/Torah and that it will be the time that Yahveh through HIS Ben Yahshua will do battle with the nations.Read article 43:
Now this is the most wonderful part about the "Day/Memorial of Trumpets"; it will be the time when we are changed from corruptible to incorruptible! This will be the time we are made perfect when we will be born again. Here is what Yahshua said about when He was going to be made perfect. Some Pharisee's came to Yahshua and told Him to run and hide or Herod would kill Him, this is what Yahshua said to them. Herod is referred to as the "fox":
Luke: 13:32: And He said to them, Go you, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
Don't misunderstand Yahshua was perfect in every way to be a offering for our sins. But total perfection does not come until we put off this corruption. The flesh is nothing really to celebrate. Yahshua was speaking of His resurrection and receiving His incorruptible body and being hadar/magnified with the FATHER.
The time for our perfection will be at the sound of the 7th trumpet. Turn to 1 Corinthians 15. You should read this whole chapter:
1Corinthians: 15:51: Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co: 15:52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co: 15:53: For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co: 15:54: So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in defeat.
1Co: 15:55: O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your triumph?
1Co: 15:56: The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the Law/Torah.
1Co: 15:57: But thanks be to YaHVeH, which gives us the conquest through our Rabbi Yahshua Mashiyach.
1Co: 15:58: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Rabbi, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Rabbi.
Shaul also wrote:
1Thessalonians: 4:13: But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no elpis G1680/mibtach H4009/confidence.
1Th: 4:14: For if we believe that Yahshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yahshua will YaHVeH bring with Him.
1Th: 4:15: For this we say to you by the word of the Rabbi, that we which are alive and remain until the coming of the Rabbi shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th: 4:16: For the Rabbi Himself shall descend from shameh with a shout, with the voice of the arch-malak, and with the trump of YaHVeH: and the dead in Mashiyach shall rise first:
1Th: 4:17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Rabbi in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Rabbi.
1Th: 4:18: Now comfort one another with these words.
This is what Yahshua said about His return:
Matit'Yah-ha Leviy/Matthew: 24:30: And then shall appear the sign of the Ben of Adam in Shameh: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Ben of Adam coming in the clouds of shameh with power and great doxa G1391/kabod H3519/splendor.
M't: 24:31: And He shall send His malakiym with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of shameh to the other.
Next time you hear a trumpet or even a car horn, let it remind you of that great and wonderful day for those who believe; a horrible and terrible day for those who don't believe; of the return of our Savior and the time we receive our new bodies.
Here is a Psalm to remember and sing in your heart:
T'hiyliym/Psalms:47:1: O clap your hands, all you people; shout to Elohiym with the voice of triumph/rinnah.
Psalms:47:2: For YaHVeH most high is terrible; HE is a great Melek over all the earth.
Psalms:47:3: HE shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
Psalms:47:4: HE shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Ya'akob whom HE loved. Selah.
Psalms:47:5: Elohiym is gone up with a shout, YaHVeH with the sound of a trumpet/shophar.
Psalms:47:6: Sing praises to Elohiym, sing praises: sing praises to our Melek, sing praises.
Psalms:47:7: For Elohiym is the Melek of all the earth: sing you praises with understanding.
Psalms:47:8: Elohiym reigns over the nations: Elohiym sits on the throne of HIS kodeshness.
Psalms:47:9: The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the Elohiym of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong to Elohiym: HE is greatly exalted.

Acts:2:22: Ye men of Yisrael, hear these words; Yahshua of Nazareth, a man approved of YaHVeH among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which YaHVeH did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Ac:2:23: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of YaHVeH, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Ac:2:24: Whom YaHVeH hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that He should be holden of it.
*Ac:2:25: For David speaketh concerning Him, I foresaw YaHVeH always before my face, for He is on MY RIGHT HAND, that I should not be moved:
*Ac:2:26: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope/behtachH983/security:
*Ac:2:27: Because THOU wilt not leave My soul in hell/sheol, neither wilt THOU suffer THINE kind/chasiydH2623 One to see corruption.
*Ac:2:28: Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
Ac:2:29: Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
Ac:2:30: Therefore being a prophet/nabiy, and knowing that YaHVeH had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, HE would raise up Mashiyach to sit on his throne;
Ac:2:31: He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Mashiyach, that His soul was not left in sheol, neither His flesh did see corruption.
Ac:2:32: This Yahshua hath YaHVeH raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
Ac:2:33: Therefore being by the RIGHT HAND of YaHVeH exalted, and having received of the FATHER the promise of the Kodesh Ruach, He hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
+Ac:2:34: For David is not ascended into the shamayim: but he saith himself, YaHVeH said unto my Rabbi, Sit Thou on MY RIGHT HAND,
+Ac:2:35: Until I make Thy foes Thy footstool.
Ac:2:36: Therefore let all the house of Yisrael know assuredly, that YaHVeH hath made that same Yahshua, whom ye have crucified, both Rabbi and Mashiyach.
Ac:2:37: Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Petros/Kepha and to the rest of the Apostles/Malakiym, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Ac:2:38: Then Kepha said unto them, Repent, and be immersed every one of you in the name of Yahshua Mashiyach for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Kodesh Ruach.
Ac:2:39: For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as YaHVeH our Elohiym shall call.
Ac:2:40: And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Ac:2:41: Then they that gladly received his word were immersed: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Ac:2:42: And they continued stedfastly in the Apostles'/Malakiym doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Ac:2:43: And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the Apostles/Malakiym.
Ac:2:44: And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
Ac:2:45: And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
Ac:2:46: And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Ac:2:47: Praising YaHVeH, and having favour with all the people. And YaHVeH added to the Ekklesia/called out/congregation/assembly/Moed daily such as should be saved.
*Refer to Psalms 16:8 - 11.

Leviticus/V'yakra:23:10: Speak unto the children of Yisrael, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the kohen:
Le:23:11: And he shall wave the sheaf before YaHVeH, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the kohen shall wave it.
Le:23:12: And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto YaHVeH.
Le:23:13: And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto YaHVeH for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
Le:23:14: And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your Elohiym: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
Le:23:15: And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete:
Le:23:16: Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto YaHVeH.
Le:23:17: Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto YaHVeH.
Le:23:18: And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto YaHVeH, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto YaHVeH.
Le:23:19: Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of shelem/peace offerings.
Le:23:20: And the kohen shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before YaHVeH, with the two lambs: they shall be kodesh to YaHVeH for the kohen.
Le:23:21: And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be a kodesh convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
Le:23:22: And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am YaHVeH your Elohiym.
Deuteronomy:16:9: Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.
De:16:10: And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto YaHVeH thy Elohiym with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto YaHVeH thy Elohiym, according as YaHVeH thy Elohiym hath barauch thee:
Since Yahshua is the fulfillment of the Feast of First Fruits (I Corinthians 15:20,23; Romans 8:23), His resurrection marks the day the wave sheaf was offered forever. No more do the Feast’s (Matthew 9:35-38; Romans 14:17) revolve around agricultural harvest (schoolmaster Galatians 3:24-25), the Feast of Yahveh actually picture HIS plan of salvation for mankind – ruach harvest of souls. Since Yahshua was raised from the dead three days and three nights after His crucifixion (counting from time he was laid in the tomb) the day of His appearing to His followers should mark the day that the wave sheaf was offered forever. So every year no matter what day Passover falls on the Gregorian Calendar you should be able to count three days and nights after Passover, then from the weekly 7th day Sabbath count seven Sabbaths, which totals up to 49 days plus the next day equals 50.
Unbelieving Yahudiym do not recognize Yahshua as YaHVeH's Mashiyach, so they continue to go by the waving of the actual wave sheaf or counting the omer. Yahudee who practice orthodox "Judaism" continue to see the Feast as agricultural and not as ruach harvest of people. We as believers inYahshua as the Mashiyach need to count Him and His appearing to His chosen Apostles/Malakiym 40 days before the Feast of First Fruits (Acts 1:3), not the omer.
Yahochanan/John :17:1: These words spake Yahshua, and lifted up His eyes to shameh, and said, FATHER, the hour is come; doxazo/gadal/magnify THY Ben, that THY Ben also may magnify THEE:
Joh:17:2: As THOU hast given Him power over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as THOU hast given Him.
Joh:17:3: And this is life eternal, that they might know THEE the only true El, and Yahshua Mashiyach, whom THOU hast sent.
Joh:17:4: I have magnified THEE on the earth: I have finished the work which THOU gavest Me to do.
@ Joh:17:5: And now, O FATHER, magnify THOU Me with THINE OWN SELF with the glory/doxaG1391 /kabodH3519/honor which I had with THEE before the world was.
Joh:17:6: I have manifested THY name unto the men which THOU gavest Me out of the world: THINE they were, and THOU gavest them Me; and they have kept THY word.
Joh:17:7: Now they have known that all things whatsoever THOU hast given Me are of THEE.
Joh:17:8: For I have given unto them the words which THOU gavest Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from THEE, and they have believed that thou didst send Me.
Joh:17:9: I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which THOU hast given Me; for they are THINE.
Joh:17:10: And all Mine are THINE, and THINE are Mine; and I am magnified in them.
Joh:17:11: And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Kadosh FATHER, keep through THINE OWN name those whom THOU hast given Me, that they may be one, as WE are.
Joh:17:12: While I was with them in the world, I kept them in THY name: those that thou gavest Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the ben of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
Joh:17:13: And now come I to THEE; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have My joy fulfilled in themselves.
Joh:17:14: I have given them THY word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Joh:17:15: I pray not that THOU shouldest take them out of the world, but that THOU shouldest keep them from the evil.
Joh:17:16: They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Joh:17:17: Sanctify/HagiazoG37/KadashH6942/Purify them through THY truth: THY Word is truth.
Joh:17:18: As THOU hast sent Me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
Joh:17:19: And for their sakes I kadash/purified Myself, that they also might be kadash/purified through the truth.
Joh:17:20: Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word;
Joh:17:21: That they all may be one; as THOU, FATHER, art in Me, and I in THEE, that they also may be one in US: that the world may believe that THOU hast sent Me.
Joh:17:22: And the kabod/honor which THOU gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one, even as WE are ONE:
Joh:17:23: I in them, and THOU in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that THOU hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved Me.
Joh:17:24: FATHER, I will that they also, whom THOU hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may behold My kabod/honor/splendor, which THOU hast given Me: for THOU lovedst Me before the foundation of the world.
Joh:17:25: O righteous FATHER, the world hath not known THEE: but I have known THEE, and these have known that THOU hast sent Me.
Joh:17:26: And I have declared unto them THY name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith THOU hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
@ Refer to Genesis 1:1-5; 3:8; John 1:1-5.
1Corinthians:15:1: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel/euaggelionG2098/tobH2896 shemuahH8052/glad tidings which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co:15:2: By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Co:15:3: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Mashiyach died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co:15:4: And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1Co:15:5: And that He was seen of Kepha, then of the twelve:
1Co:15:6: After that, He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
1Co:15:7: After that, He was seen of James/Ya'akob; then of all the Apostles/Malakiym.
1Co:15:8: And last of all He was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
1Co:15:9: For I am the least of the Malakiym, that am not meet to be called a Malak, because I persecuted the Ekklesia/Moed/Called out /Congregation of YaHVeH.
1Co:15:10: But by the favor of YaHVeH I am what I am: and HIS favor which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the favor of YaHVeH which was with me.
1Co:15:11: Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
1Co:15:12: Now if Mashiyach be preached that He rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1Co:15:13: But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Mashiyach not risen:
1Co:15:14: And if Mashiyach be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your emun/belief is also vain.
1Co:15:15: Yea, and we are found false witnesses of YaHVeH; because we have testified of YaHVeH that HE raised up Mashiyach: whom HE raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
1Co:15:16: For if the dead rise not, then is not Mashiyach raised:
1Co:15:17: And if Mashiyach be not raised, your emun/belief is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1Co:15:18: Then they also which are fallen asleep in Mashiyach are perished.
1Co:15:19: If in this life only we have hope/elpizoG1679/yachalH3176/trust in Mashiyach, we are of all men most miserable.
1Co:15:20: But now is Mashiyach risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co:15:21: For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co:15:22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Mashiyach shall all be made alive.
1Co:15:23: But every man in his own order: Mashiyach the firstfruits; afterward they that are Mashiyach's at His coming.
1Co:15:24: Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to YaHVeH, even the FATHER; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Co:15:25: For He must reign, till HE hath put all enemies under His feet.
1Co:15:26: The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1Co:15:27: For HE hath put all things under His feet. But when HE saith all things are put under Him, it is manifest that He is excepted, which did put all things under Him.
1Co:15:28: And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Ben also Himself be subject unto HIM that put all things under Him, that YaHVeH may be all in all.
1Co:15:29: Else what shall they do which are immersed for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then immersed for the dead?
1Co:15:30: And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
1Co:15:31: I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Mashiyach Yahshua our Rabbi, I die daily.
1Co:15:32: If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
1Co:15:33: Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1Co:15:34: Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of YaHVeH: I speak this to your shame.
1Co:15:35: But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
1Co:15:36: Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
1Co:15:37: And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
1Co:15:38: But YaHVeH giveth it a body as it hath pleased HIM, and to every seed his own body.
1Co:15:39: All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
1Co:15:40: There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the kabod/splendor of the celestial is one, and the kabod/splendor of the terrestrial is another.
1Co:15:41: There is one kabod/splendor of the sun, and another kabod/splendor of the moon, and another kabod/splendor of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in kabod/splendor.
1Co:15:42: So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Co:15:43: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in kabod/honor: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
1Co:15:44: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a ruach body. There is a natural body, and there is a ruach body.
1Co:15:45: And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening ruach.
1Co:15:46: Howbeit that was not first which is ruach, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is ruach.
1Co:15:47: The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Rabbi from shameh.
1Co:15:48: As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the shamayim, such are they also that are shamayim.
1Co:15:49: And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the shamayim.
1Co:15:50: Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of YaHVeH; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co:15:51: Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co:15:52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co:15:53: For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co:15:54: So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co:15:55: O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co:15:56: The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
1Co:15:57: But thanks be to YaHVeH, which giveth us the victory through our Rabbi Yahshua Mashiyach.
1Co:15:58: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Rabbi, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Rabbi.

Counting the days for the Feast of First Fruits
Yahochanan/Yohn:20:1: The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
Joh:20:12: And seeth two malakiym in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Yahshua had lain.
Joh:20:13: And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Rabbi, and I know not where they have laid Him.
Joh:20:14: And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Yahshua standing, and knew not that it was Yahshua.
Joh:20:15: Yahshua saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing Him to be the gardener, saith unto Him, Sir, if thou have borne Him hence, tell me where thou hast laid Him, and I will take Him away.
Joh:20:16: Yahshua saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto Him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
Joh:20:17: Yahshua saith unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My FATHER: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My FATHER, and your FATHER; and to My EL, and your EL.
Joh:20:18: Mary Magdalene came and told the followers/taught ones that she had seen the Rabbi, and that He had spoken these things unto her.
Yahochanan/John :20:19: Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the followers were assembled for fear of the Yahudiym, came Yahshua and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, shalom be unto you.
Joh:20:20: And when He had so said, He shewed unto them His hands and His side. Then were the followers glad, when they saw the Rabbi.
Joh:20:21: Then said Yahshua to them again, Shalom be unto you: as My FATHER hath sent Me, even so send I you.
Joh:20:22: And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Kodesh Ruach:
Joh:20:23: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
Joh:20:24: But Thomas/Taom, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Yahshua came.
Joh:20:25: The other followers therefore said unto him, We have seen the Rabbi. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe.
Eight days later after Yahshua had been raised from the dead
Joh:20:26: And after eight days again His followers were within, and Thomas/Taom with them: then came Yahshua, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Shalom be unto you.
Joh:20:27: Then saith He to Thomas/Taom, Reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not unbelieving, but believing.
Joh:20:28: And Thomas/Taom answered and said unto Him, my Rabbi and my Elohim.
Joh:20:29: Yahshua saith unto him, Thomas/Taom, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: barauch are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Joh:20:30: And many other signs truly did Yahshua in the presence of His followers, which are not written in this book:
Joh:20:31: But these are written, that ye might believe that Yahshua is the Mashiyach, the Ben of YaHVeH; and that believing ye might have life through His name.
Joh:21:1: After these things Yahshua shewed Himself again to the followers at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed He Himself.
Joh:21:2: There were together Shimon Kepha/Petros, and Thomas/Taom called Didymus, and Nathanael/Nethanel of Cana/Kana in Galilee/Galiyl/Ga-liy-lah, and the beniym of Zebedee/Zabdiy, and two other of His followers.
Joh:21:3: Shimon Kepha saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
Joh:21:4: But when the morning was now come, Yahshua stood on the shore: but the followers knew not that it was Yahshua.
Joh:21:5: Then Yahshua saith unto them, children, have ye any meat? They answered Him, No.
Joh:21:6: And He said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
Joh:21:7: Therefore that follower whom Yahshua loved saith unto Kepha, It is the Rabbi. Now when Shimon Kepha heard that it was the Rabbi, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
Joh:21:8: And the other followers came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
Joh:21:9: As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
Joh:21:10: Yahshua saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
Joh:21:11: Shimon Kepha went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
Joh:21:12: Yahshua saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the followers durst ask Him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Rabbi.
Joh:21:13: Yahshua then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
Joh:21:14: This is now the third time that Yahshua shewed Himself to His followers, after that He was risen from the dead.
Yahshua appears to His followers for forty days before the Feast of First Fruits arrived
Acts:1:1: The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Yahshua began both to do and teach,
Ac:1:2: Until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Kodesh Ruach had given commandments unto the Apostles/Malakiym whom He had chosen:
Ac:1:3: To whom also He shewed Himself alive after His passion/keebH3511 by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of YaHVeH:
Ac:1:4: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Yahushalayim, but wait for the promise of the FATHER, which, saith He, ye have heard of Me.
Ac:1:5: For Yahochanan/John truly baptized/immersed with water; but ye shall be immersed with the Kodesh Ruach not many days hence.
Ac:1:6: When they therefore were come together, they asked of Him, saying, Rabbi, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Yisrael?
Ac:1:7: And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the FATHER hath put in HIS own power.
Ac:1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Kodesh Ruach is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Yahushalayim, and in all Yahudaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Ac:1:9: And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
Ac:1:10: And while they looked stedfastly toward Shameh as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Ac:1:11: Which also said, Ye men of Galilee/Galiylah, why stand ye gazing up into shameh? this same Yahshua, which is taken up from you into shameh, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into shameh.
Ac:1:12: Then returned they unto Yahushalayim from the mount called Olivet, which is from Yahushalayim a sabbath day's journey.
Ten days later the Feast of First Fruits arrives
Ac:2:1: And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Ac:2:2: And suddenly there came a sound from shameh as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Ac:2:3: And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Ac:2:4: And they were all filled with the Kodesh Ruach, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Ruach gave them utterance.
Ac:2:5: And there were dwelling at Yahushalayim Yahudiym, devout/chasiydH2623 men, out of every nation under shameh.
Ac:2:6: Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
Ac:2:7: And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
Ac:2:8: And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
Ac:2:9: Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Yahudaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
Ac:2:10: Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Yahudee and proselytes,
Ac:2:11: Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of Elohiym.
Ac:2:12: And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
Ac:2:13: Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
Ac:2:14: But Kepha/Petros, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Yahudaea, and all ye that dwell at Yahushalayim, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Ac:2:15: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
Ac:2:16: But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Yoel;
# Ac:2:17: And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith YaHVeH, I will pour out of MY Ruach upon all flesh: and your Beniym and your Bathiym shall prophesy/naba, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
# Ac:2:18: And on MY servants and on MY handmaidens I will pour out in those days of MY Ruach; and they shall prophesy/naba:
# Ac:2:19: And I will shew wonders in shameh above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
# Ac:2:20: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of YaHVeH come:
# Ac:2:21: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of YaHVeH shall be saved.
# Yoel/Joel 2:28 - 32
